About me: I’m Sarina, a girl with roots in Cali, Hawaii, and Colorado. I currently reside in Tampa, Florida temporarily. I come from a mixed ethnic background of Italian, Puerto Rican, African America, and Native American. I studied my Paralegal at UC Berkeley. I love fashion, traveling, animals, and cooking clean organic meals for my husband and I. We have two puppies named Koa and Chanel. My MB letters are ENTJ
About the blog: Wanderingplumeria is truly my healthy lifestyle in a blog. It shares my travels, recipes, fashion, natural beauty products, and more.
About my fashion: Standing at only 5’4 with a 23in waist, I am always facing the struggles of being a petite young woman. I love a mixture of bohemian and classic pieces and finding petite friendly clothes for my generation is no easy feat! My goal is to show other young women modest and fun pieces even for smallest of sizes.
About my recipes: In our family we generally eat organic, clean, and always Cows Milk-free meals. I have a sensitive stomach and after doing cleanses and detoxes I noticed how much better I felt removing overly processed foods and chemicals out of my diet. As opposed to my husband who is lactose intolerant, I am actually allergic to cows milk period. Around 4 years ago I stopped eating dairy completely to help my health. I had to change my mainly Italian diet to a more clean eating style. I am constantly searching for the best alternatives to dairy while still enjoying ice cream, grilled cheese, whip cream, milkshakes, etc. I am always happy to find great options and recipes that do not use cows milk and get to share them with you all. We also do not eat veal or lamb and limit our pork to uncured only.
About my beauty products: As in all things, natural is always better. I am allergic to Talc, (often used as a filler and has been linked to causing cancer) and it is surprisingly in a lot of beauty products, even the ones that claim to be “natural”. Because of my allergy I read every ingredient on the label. This has lead to a search for the cleaner product lines that I don’t have to constantly question and analyze. (I prefer to use vegan and/or cruelty free products and will state what category it falls under in any product I review or recommend.)
